Hi, I am a student in grade 10. I love math and I think I want to take the AMC 12 in grade 11. Here is my plan:
- Finish AOPS Volume 1, Volume 2, and Calculus
- Learn how to write proofs
- Complete every AMC 10, AMC 12, USAJMO, USAMO, and IMO problem I can find on the internet
Is it good or do I need to do more? Or is this too much?
If you really can finish all the past contests, you should be good to go!
Definitely overkill...
Just a fyi, AMC 12 is extremely hard so doing it in grade 11 might not be the best idea. It's for the top of the top.
Good luck bro!
Your plan is pretty good. Some main topics you should study for is trig, advanced algebra, and geometry.
Thanks y'all for the support!
