Linear Equations: A school is organizing a field trip. The total cost of the trip is $500. Each student has to pay $15.  If there are 2 teachers accompanying the students who do not have to pay, how many students are going on the field trip?
Subtract the teacher's cost: $500 - $0 = $500. Divide the total cost by the cost per student: $500 / $15 = 33.33. Since you can't have a fraction of a student, round down to 33 students.
