A taxi company charges a $3 base fare plus $1.50 per mile.

Write an equation to represent the total cost of a taxi ride.
Graph the equation.
What would be the cost of a 10-mile taxi ride?
Systems of Equations: Two numbers add up to 30.  One number is 6 more than
Equation: y = 1.50x + 3 (where y is the total cost and x is the number of miles)
Graph: A straight line that starts at the point (0, 3) and has a slope of 1.50.
