Math models for population increase - CelticSpinner - 12-22-2021

Hey everyone,

I'm doing a school projects and was wondering what mathematical models exist for modeling population growth? I know there are the Logistic and Gompertz function but was wondering if there any other models.

There is The Club of Rome and the book "The Limits To Growth". They did all of that but I don't think they gave out any formulas but they did complete a world model.

The Lotka–Volterra equations are pretty good.

This isn't quite related but it may to lead to something interesting. My project I did was using a variation of the SEIR model. It is a compartmental model that simulates disease spread on a population. You might be able to model population by itself with compartmental models. Could work.
