The ratio of boys to girls in a class is 3:4. If there are 28 students in total, how many boys and how many girls are there?

RE: Question 4 - Kevin - 07-22-2024

Let the number of boys be 3x and the number of girls be 4x. 3x+4x=283x + 4x = 283x+4x=28 7x=287x = 287x=28 x=4x = 4x=4 Number of boys = 3x = 3 \times 4 = 12 Number of girls = 4x = 4 \times 4 = 16
