  Math models for population increase

Hey everyone,

I'm doing a school projects and was wondering what mathematical models exist for modeling population growth? I know there are the Logistic and Gompertz function but was wondering if there any other models.

Trynna learn calculus for fun by myself. I'm in grade 9 and feel like getting a headstart. Not really preparing for an exam or anything. Any good resources I could use to help?

  Good math documentaries for high school students?

Don't really remember the name of the documentary but we were shown this BBC movie about Andrew Wiles and Fermat's Last Theorem in high school and it was pretty good.
